Egypt's Duaya Acquires EXMGO to Expand Digital Healthcare Offerings
Egyptian healthtech company Duaya has acquired EXMGO, an Egyptian SaaS provider for pharmacies and medical businesses, in a six-figure deal. The acquisition, which sees EXMGO rebranded as Duaya Go, is a strategic move to strengthen Duaya's e-commerce services and accelerate pharmacy digitization in Egypt.

Founded in 2021 by Dr. Ahmed Fazara, Duaya operates a B2B platform that connects over 500 medical suppliers with more than 12,000 clients, including pharmacies, clinics, hospitals, and labs. The company has seen rapid growth and aims to expand its client base to 25,000 by the end of the year, with plans to enter the GCC market in 2026.

With the acquisition, Duaya Go will provide pharmacies with branded apps and websites to manage online sales, inventory, and payments. According to Dr. Fazara, this move aligns with Duaya's vision to transform traditional sales operations into digital, platform-based processes. Duaya has evolved from a B2B platform into a comprehensive suite of solutions that includes medical supplies, software, AI, and now, direct e-commerce.

According to EXMGO's CEO, Eng. Islam Nasr, joining Duaya will allow them to serve thousands of pharmacies more effectively. The acquisition follows a recent investment in Duaya after its appearance on the TV show "Shark Tank." This strategic move aims to solidify Duaya's leadership in the Egyptian market and support its broader expansion plans across the MENA region.
