Egyptian Edtech Farid Expands to Saudi Arabia with a Multi-Million Dollar Partnership

The Egyptian edtech company Farid has expanded its operations to Saudi Arabia, opening a central office in Riyadh. This move is part of the company's broader regional strategy and comes ahead of a planned seed funding round in Q4 2025. Farid had previously raised $250,000 in pre-seed funding last year.

Founded in 2024 by Mahmoud Hussein, Farid focuses on providing one-on-one sessions and programs for children and youth aged 3 to 18, centered on character education and mental health support. The platform also trains and certifies coaches in its methodology.

As part of its expansion, Farid has signed a three-year partnership with the Amad Association, a Saudi institution. The $1.3 million deal aims to train and certify 500 Saudi university graduates and deliver specialized educational programs to over 4,000 children and adolescents. This initiative supports Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 goals by focusing on skills like critical thinking, innovation, and entrepreneurship. The agreement also provides a 25% discount for families on program fees.

According to Farid's co-founder and CEO, Mahmoud Hussein, the company's long-term vision is to certify 10,000 trainers and empower 10 million children and youth across the Arab world by 2030.
