The 47th Cohort of Startups in ITIDA's Incubation Program

The Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC), a part of the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), has welcomed its 47th group of tech startups into the Start IT incubation program. This initiative is a core part of ITIDA's mission to foster innovation and support the growth of early-stage technology companies in Egypt. The program is designed for entrepreneurs with ICT-focused ideas or prototypes, helping them develop their concepts into scalable, investment-ready businesses.

The latest cohort's kickoff event included a networking session that brought together the new startups and alumni from previous rounds. This was intended to build a stronger community and create opportunities for peer learning and collaboration.

Featured Startups and Their Innovations

Eight of the newly incubated startups were highlighted for their innovative solutions, which address challenges in various sectors:

- Cluster is a health-tech platform aiming to streamline the pharmaceutical supply chain.

- Mystery Bag offers a digital solution to help reduce food waste by redistributing unsold inventory.

- Converse2Note uses AI to automatically convert doctor-patient conversations into structured medical reports.

- Coccarohome is an e-commerce platform that connects female artisans directly with customers for handmade home décor.

- Sportyano is developing a digital platform for sports talent discovery and management.

- LRNOVA uses AI to assist in creating high-quality educational content.

- TANKER provides a digital system for monitoring and managing fuel consumption in logistics fleets.

- eDariba simplifies digital tax compliance for small and medium-sized businesses, freelancers, and accountants.

Expanded Support and New Platform Launch

In a significant update, ITIDA announced an expanded support package for the startups. The total support per startup has been increased to EGP 480,000, a substantial boost from the previous EGP 180,000. This includes both financial grants and in-kind services. Additionally, support from Amazon Web Services (AWS) has been doubled, with each startup now receiving $10,000 in cloud credits.

The event also marked the launch of the Start IT Perks platform, an exclusive benefits program for incubated startups. Through partnerships with key local enablers like Talents Arena and Sprints, the platform offers discounted access to essential digital tools and services, aiming to help startups operate more efficiently and scale faster.

Finally, the program now offers new components focused on talent and AI. This includes dedicated hiring support to help founders build strong teams and specialized AI training and advisory sessions for startups working with advanced digital solutions.
