Egypt Launches 'Tech Launchpad' to Accelerate Startup Growth
Egypt's Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), through its Creativa Innovation Hubs initiative, has launched a new program called 'Tech Launchpad.' The program is designed to accelerate the growth of early-stage and pre-seed tech startups.
The ministry stated that the program's goal is to help entrepreneurs turn their ideas into successful businesses that can compete on a global scale while also addressing local market needs and boosting economic growth.
The 'Tech Launchpad' program is a collaboration between the MCIT, the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), and the Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC). It will be implemented in various governorates across Egypt, including Alexandria, Mansoura, and Aswan.
Program Details and Benefits
The program will offer a comprehensive approach to startup development, providing participants with the skills to create a full business plan, marketing strategy, financial management plan, and an investor-ready pitch deck. The curriculum includes:
11 Training Sessions: These sessions will cover essential topics such as lean startup methodology, business models, market research, digital marketing, and financial fundamentals.
One-on-One Mentoring: Founders will receive personalized guidance through five one-on-one sessions, focusing on key areas like business models, marketing, and financial planning.
The program is open to tech-based startups with at least two founders who are residents of Egypt and offer innovative solutions to real-world problems.
The 'Tech Launchpad' initiative underscores the ministry's commitment to supporting the technology entrepreneurship ecosystem and expanding its reach to entrepreneurs across the country.
