Egypt and Huawei Partner to Advance AI in Healthcare

Egypt's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, met with Huawei Global Chairman Benjamin Hu to discuss expanding cooperation in AI and digital transformation within the healthcare sector.

The discussions focused on current joint projects related to smart healthcare solutions and digital systems. The minister urged for faster implementation of these projects to improve healthcare quality and efficiency.
They also talked about a new proposal to launch specialized AI training programs in schools, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education. This initiative is part of Egypt's national strategy to equip young people with the skills needed for global technological trends.

Abdel Ghaffar praised Huawei for hosting the recent North Africa Cloud Summit, which brought together over 600 participants and helped promote knowledge sharing in the region.

The meeting concluded with Huawei inviting the minister to their upcoming Huawei Connect conference in China and reaffirming their commitment to supporting Egypt's digital transformation and human development goals
