The second edition of Techne Summit Cairo takes place on 11 & 12 March

The second edition of Techne Summit Cairo, the leading annual investment and entrepreneurship event, is scheduled to take place on March 11th and 12th at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization. The Summit is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce (FEDCOC), the Digital Economy and Technology General Division (DETGD), and the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA). The esteemed strategic partner for this year’s summit is MSMEDA, the platinum sponsors are ITIDA and Novartis Egypt, the gold sponsors are ALX, EdVentures, and JOBMASTER, the silver sponsor is mngm, and the event is organized by Markade Agency.

This year’s Techne Summit will host nine different tracks covering CreativeTech, Disrupt Tech, eCommerce, EdTech, FinTech, HealthTech, Investment, Marketing & Advertising, and Startup Business Academy. The Summit will also have two pitching competitions, 10 workshops held by renowned industry experts, and five roundtables. Techne Cairo is expected to host over 20,000 attendees, 200 speakers, 100 exhibitors, and 180 investors from more than 30 countries.

Techne Summit is the largest international event in the Middle East focusing on investment, technology, and entrepreneurship as it aims to create a platform that connects the Middle East to Europe and Africa. This year’s summit will witness the attendance of international, regional, and local experts from different sectors some of whom are, Senator/ Ahmed Abou Hashima, head of Youth & Sports Committee at the Senate - entrepreneur – and founder of Abou Hashima El Kheir Foundation; Bassel Rahmy, Executive Director of MSMEDA; Ahmed El Zaher CEO of ITIDA, Abdalla ElEbiary, Chief Investment Officer at The Sovereign Fund of Egypt; Ahmed Shams, Research Managing Director at EFG Hermes; Michael Wanees, Country Head at Bayer Pharma; Hussein Aboubakr, Founder & CEO of Mozare3; Ahmed Hammouda, Founder of Thndr; Alain El Hajj, Co-Founder and COO at Paymob; Waleed Sadek, Founder & CEO of Yalla Super App; Dina El Shenoufi, Chief Investment Officer at Flat6labs; and several other experts across various industries.

The event kickstarted back in 2015 in the city of Alexandria as an international multi-industry-focused Investment & Entrepreneurship event that aims to impact multiple sectors and stakeholders of the Startup Communities in The Mediterranean Region by showcasing different technologies and their applications in each industry. Techne Summit Alexandria 2022 attracted more than 30,000 attendees, 350 speakers, 1,000 startups, and 200 investors, all from more than 70 countries. It hosted 9 pitching competitions for startups across different technology-related fields, and offered monetary awards, as well as mentorship and consultation opportunities, and much more.
