Velents Raises $1.5M to Launch First Arabic-Speaking AI Employee

3 hours 42 min ago

Velents.ai, a Cairo- and Riyadh-based enterprise AI startup, has secured $1.5 million in funding to launch Agent.sa, the region’s first fully integrated Arabic-speaking AI employee for businesses across the Middle East.

The funding round included participation from angel investors and senior executives at leading global companies such as Google and Boston Consulting Group (BCG). Velents also announced plans to initiate another investment round in early 2026 to accelerate its regional expansion.

Agent.sa functions as a virtual employee capable of handling calls, WhatsApp conversations, data analysis, order tracking, and other operational workflows — all in Arabic and regional dialects, without relying on translation tools. The AI solution integrates with more than 20 enterprise systems, including CRM platforms and payment gateways, making it deployable across sales, customer service, and support departments.

“We’re not just creating a software tool we’re delivering a true digital colleague that collaborates with human teams,” said Mohamed Gaber, Co-founder and CEO of Velents. “Our mission is to empower Arab organizations with an intelligent worker who speaks their language, understands their culture, and drives productivity.”

The company emphasized its commitment to data privacy and localization, noting that Saudi clients’ data is hosted within the Kingdom, while Egyptian data remains stored locally.

Originally launched as a recruitment technology platform, Velents pivoted in 2023 to deliver AI-driven enterprise solutions. Today, the startup serves clients across Egypt and Saudi Arabia, including private companies, universities, and government institutions positioning itself at the forefront of the Arabic AI revolution in the region.
