Join DMZ Cairo Cycle 3 to Carve a Path for Sustainable Tech Transformation

A world-leading Toronto-based startup incubator, now in Cairo, is ready to support another cohort of tech startups. Selected participants will earn an opportunity to join DMZ YYZ, a soft landing program in Toronto, Canada, helping startups explore the North American market.

DMZ Cairo provides highly customized, intensive, and impactful programming to tech startups, providing them with opportunities to grow in the MENA region and beyond the continent. Special women entrepreneurs' programming is now available, offering a friendly, stress-free environment for women tech founders growing their businesses.


Applicants from all over Egypt who meet the eligibility criteria are encouraged to apply.


DMZ is a world-leading startup incubator based in Toronto, Canada, that equips the next generation of tech entrepreneurs with the tools needed to build, launch, and scale highly impactful startups. DMZ has helped more than 820 startups raise $2.58 billion in capital and create 5,000+ jobs. Its branch in Cairo, DMZ Cairo, is looking for tech entrepreneurs working on different technologies, diverse solutions, and economic sectors to join its 8-month incubator program. 

DMZ Cairo, a joint partnership between the Universities of Canada in Egypt and Toronto Metropolitan University’s DMZ, is a vibrant tech startup incubator and innovation hub located at the UofCanada Campus in the New Administrative Capital of Egypt, is calling for tech startups to apply for Cycle 3 of its Incubator before Tuesday, 12th March, 2024 through dmzcairo.com. DMZ Cairo is located at and operated by the Universities of Canada (UCE) in their lively campus in the New Administrative Capital.

“This year, we're expanding our personalized support to encourage more women entrepreneurs to apply and join our cohorts,” emphasized Menna Rabie, DMZ Cairo Director. “Our program prioritizes providing comprehensive support, not just technically and financially, but also socially and psychologically, ensuring a women-friendly environment."

In its long-standing partnership with the Academy for Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT) and the National Tech Incubators Program (INTILAC), DMZ Cairo is offering startups in Cycle 3 the skills, tools, resources, and networking vital for their success, with up to EGP 300,000 equity-free financing. DMZ Cairo designs customizable startup programming, tailoring support to meet the specific requirements of each startup.

This year, the DMZ Cairo program is expanding its networking efforts to include connections with other DMZ counterparts in the MENA region, in addition to fostering ties with Canada’s expert, founder, and investor networks. Participants in the DMZ Cairo program also have the opportunity to earn a place in the DMZ YYZ program. This intensive soft-landing program is designed to assist growth-stage startups in exploring, launching, and growing their businesses in the North American market.
