The American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt (AmCham Egypt) and the Egypt’s Entrepreneur Awards (EEA) platform have signed a strategic partnership to support the country's rapidly growing startup ecosystem.

The agreement, announced by the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) on Thursday, October 2, 2025, aims to:

- Spotlight top entrepreneurs.

- Connect them with established businesses.

- Strengthen Egypt's reputation as a regional hub for innovation.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed in Cairo by Sylvia Menassa (AmCham CEO) and Amr Mansi (EEA CEO), with GAFI Chairman Hossam Heiba and other senior business leaders in attendance.

Under the partnership, AmCham committees will provide mentorship and facilitate market access for EEA winners, accelerating growth for startups across critical sectors like fintech, e-commerce, and clean technology. This collaboration aligns with Egypt’s Vision 2030 strategy to diversify the economy and attract foreign investment by prioritizing innovation
