Twitter invests $70 Million in SoundCloud

A series of investments have been happening recently and the vibe continues as Twitter decides to invest $70 million in SoundCloud. The deal was a part of a round that should end up in the $100 million range. Additionally, it values SoundCloud at around $700 million same value as 2014 when it raised $60 million.

Now Twitter officially owns a stake in SoundCloud.

Both CEOs confirmed the deal however, they did not provide any financial details. It is unclear whether this investment is a part of a strategic partnership but according to recode.net if that's the case then both entities will benefit from the integration. For Twitter, they may use this integration as a way to increase growth and engagement as for SoundCloud, it will help promote their newly launched subscription service.
