TIEC Launches Egypt Ideation Marathon Second Cycle

Technology Innovation And Entrepreneurship Center launches Egypt Ideation Marathon Second Cycle. IT was launched to serve the challenges/pillars of Egypt 2030 Vision for Sustainable Development for its second edition/season, to addresses “the culture pillar “of the Egypt 2030 Sustainable Development Strategy.

The initiative aims to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in the ICT sector and contribute to solving society problems in Egypt by providing solutions to the challenges and problems of the community based on information and communication technology and using the foundations and methodologies of creative thinking. The initiative is opened for people from all over Egypt from university students and graduates up to the age of 40 years.

The Ideation marathon will take place in the three technological parks all over Egypt (Smart Village in Cairo- Technological park in Borg El Arab, Alexandria - Technology Park in Assiut El Jadeeda City) through the implementation of the 10 innovative Ideation Camps and 3 Boot Camps offering basic definitions of innovation, technology, management topics and concepts of innovation.

Participants overview the main topics covered by technology management such as technological innovation patterns, technology trends, and provides detailed knowledge of the key elements required by potential entrepreneurs to start their new business such as Developing a business model, calculating start-up and budget costs, learning various basic business activities, and building a full and detailed business plan.

It is worth mentioning that the ideation marathon was launched for the first time at the end of 2017. The environment pillar was targeted at the Egypt 2030 Vision for Sustainable Development. The final competition between the qualified teams was held at the Smart Village at the Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center premises over three days after more than 500 have participated in the whole program to provide and implement innovative technological solutions to solve the given challenge.
